Anatomy Department
The ERASMUS Programme

 

The Anatomy Curriculum is by now organized into a Modular system, compatible with the ECTS system.

The Anatomy Department welcomes enquiries from European Medical and Dental Students who wish to spend an elective in our Department within the SOCRATES/ERASMUS framework.

Non-European Students should consult their students' association to find out whether they have an exchange agreement with our students' association (MMSA) which makes exchanges possible.

Gross Anatomy Modules include a twice-weekly formal lecture, a weekly tutorial, a weekly Living Anatomy session, and 2 dissection sessions totalling 2.5hours per week. There is also a variable number of clinical visits to Hospital Departments where Anatomy is seen being applied to Medicine and Surgery.

Histology Modules include a once-weekly formal lecture and a two-hour weekly practical session.

The Embryology module and the Cell Biology module are delivered as weekly formal lectures.

N.B. The Anatomy Department can ONLY deal with Studentships to be utilized WITHIN the Anatomy Department. It cannot process or in whatever way arrange for studentships in other Departments. Students wishing to spend internships in other departments are urged to contact the relevant department by email. If this fails, enquires should be sent to the postal addresses provided:
