Objectives and course description
Methodology comprises a critical examination of
the principles underlying the teaching and learning of
Italian as a foreign language study and
of the problems involved in terms of the nature
of language and the limitations of
the classroom situation, and to a consideration
of attainable aims at the various levels
of study and the materials, techniques
and practices by means of which a resolution of the problems may
be sought.
This credit will focus on:
a) language learning and language teaching
b) teaching the productive skills
c) from language to "educazione linguistica"
d) methods and approaches to the teaching of Italian
e) communicative activities
f) receptive skills
g) class management and planning.

Course Objective and Description:
The multimedial approach
offers a variety of contemporary language use. Language teachers
are encouraged to use the various media in the target language as a useful
learning aid in their classrooms. This course is aimed at exploiting
mass-media in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language in Maltese
secondary schools.
