The Economics Department of the University of Malta will be organizing the final meeting of the Euro Module Dissemination Project, between 10 and 12 June 2003 at the University of Malta. This project is financed by the European Commission and there are eight participating universities from France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Romania, Hungary, Latvia and Malta. The aim of this project is to draw up a course module of relevance to different countries including those already within Economic and Monetary Union, (EMU), EU member states who are still out of Eurozone, and applicant countries who will be joining EMU some time after accession. The final result of the dissemination project will be a course programme on the Euro which would be accessible on the internet. The course will have its own website and will be divided into different themes. Each theme will have its lecture structure complete with self-assessing tests, so that students can verify their knowledge of the subject matter. Further details regarding website and tutors, that can be contacted in case of difficulties with certain themes, will be provided later on. The contact person is Ms Rose Marie Azzopardi, who can be contacted on rose.m.azzopardi@um.edu.mt.
