3^rd JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
The seminar was on the theme “Identity and the Politics of Europe”
The speaker was Mr Ranier Fsadni.
The seminar took place at the Clermont Room of the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, St George’s Bay, St Julians, on Wednesday, 20^th February 2002 at 1745. 

4^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
The seminar was on the theme “National Identities”
The speakers were Prof. Oliver Friggieri and Professor Henry Frendo. ‘L-Identità Nazzjonali Maltija fil Kuntest Ewro-Mediterran’ – Prof. Oliver Friggieri and  ‘L-Identità Ewropea: Tezisti?’ – Prof. Henry Frendo.The seminar took place in the Reading Room, Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, St George’s Bay, St Julians, on Thursday, 21^st March 2002 at 1800. 

5^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR 
After the ‘formal’ conference on 25th April, our overseas speakers participated in a special Jean Monnet seminar for MESA members on Friday, 26^th April 2002, at 1700 at the Mediterranean Academy for Diplomatic Studies at the University of Malta. This gave members the opportunity to meet the speakers. The speakers were: Prof. Rosa Greaves, Prof. Jo Shaw, Prof. Marc Maresceau, Prof. Helen Wallace and Mr Auke Haagsma

6^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
The seminar was on the theme "Towards A European Law of Property?"
The speaker was Dr Gerwyn Griffiths.
The seminar was held at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, St  George's Bay, St Julians, on Monday, 30^th September 2002 at 1800. 

7^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
The Seminar was on the theme “Banking Soundness and Macroeconomic Policy in the EU Candidate Countries”
The speaker was Mr John Consiglio.
The seminar was held at the EDRC on Monday, 27^th January 2003, at 1800. 

8^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
The Seminar was on the theme “The EC and the Gulf Crisis”
The speaker was Ms Donatella Viola.
The seminar was held at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, St George’s Bay, St Julians, on Tuesday, 18^th March 2003, at 1800.

The speaker was Dr Ivan Sammut, Lecturer in the Department of European and Comparative Law, within the Faculty of Laws, at the University of Malta

20^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR 
The seminar was on the theme “Maltese Agriculture in the European Union”
The speaker was Dr Alfred Grech, Advocate and Lecturer in Human Rights, at the University of Malta

21^st JEAN MONNET SEMINAR 
The seminar was on the "Community Competence in Criminal Matters – From Case 82/71 to Case C-176/03 Commission vs Council"
The speaker was Mr Justice Anthony E. Borg Barthet currently a Judge at the European Court of Justice (ECJ).
The Seminar was held at the Reading Room, Radisson SAS Baypoint Resort, St George's Bay, St Julians, on Tuesday 11^th April 2006 at 1730. 

22^nd JEAN MONNET SEMINAR 
The seminar was on the “Adventures in Screening and Transposition A Case Study: the EU Consumer Protection Acquis (1990-2004)”
The speaker was Dr David Fabri, Senior Lecturer with the Commercial Law Department at the Faculty of Law at the University of Malta.The seminar was held at the Reading Room, Radisson SAS Baypoint Resort, St George’s Bay, St Julians, on Thursday 20^th April 2006 at 1730. 

23^rd JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
The seminar was on “The Cross, the Crescent and the Croissant: Religion in a Multi-Cultural European Union.”
The speaker was Prof. Peter G. Xuereb, MESA President, Chairman of EDRC, and Jean Monnet Chair Professor.The seminar was held at the Reading Room, Radisson SAS Baypoint Resort, St George's Bay, St. Julian's, on Thursday 4^th May 2006 at 1730.

  24^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR 
Dr Antoine Cremona, Lecturer of Arbitration and Lawyer presented a paper on: Analysing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanism in Europe and EU Activity in the Field: The Communitarisation of Private Justice.  The Seminar was held on 1^st June 2006 at 1730, at the Reading Room, The Radisson SAS Baypoint Resort, St George's Bay, St Julians.

  25^th JEAN MONNET SEMINAR
Mr Michael Cohen, Mayor of Kalkara; Vice-President of the Local Councils Association (Malta); CoR DEVE Commission PES Group Coordinator; and CoR Rapporteur on the Thematic Strategy and Draft Directive on the European Marine Environment presented a paper on: The Thematic Strategy on the Protection and Conservation of the Marine Environment and the Marine Strategy Directive: A Local and Regional Perspective. The seminar was held on Tuesday 20^th June 2006 at 1730 at the Reading Room, Radisson SAS Baypoint Resort, St George's Bay, St Julians
