  • The Board of the Institute is formulating a new course leading to the degree of B.Sc.(Agric). This course will be run as an evening part-time course.

  • The Institute is considering a proposal to run an Extension Service for farmers and breeders in Malta and Gozo.

  • The institute is participating in two EU projects on Soil Erosion and Water Conservation spearheaded by the Institute of Agriculture in Bari Italy.

  • The Institute is discussing with the University of Udine in Italy the possibility of establishing an International Masters in Mediterranean Agriculture.
