About the Department 
 

Welcome to the Department of Italian

The Department of Italian is concerned primarily with research and teaching in the following areas:
  • Classical, Modern and Contemporary Literature,
  • Comparative Literature,
  • Language, History of the Italian Language,
  • Linguistics, Applied Linguistics,
  • Methodology.
The Department offers courses to students reading for the B.A., B.Ed, B.A.(Legal and Humanistic Studies), B.(Comm.), M.A., and Ph.D degrees.

The Department also offers courses in the Italian language for foreign students at beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
