Note to Contributors
1. Articles submitted to the Journal should be original and must not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. The journal retains the ownership of any articles it publishes. 2. Each typescript must be submitted in duplicate, on A4 paper, 1.5 spaced and should not exceed 10,000 words in length (including notes). It should be accompanied by a version on diskette, in Microsoft Word for Windows (PC) format and using font Times New Roman 12. 3. Articles must be written in English or French and accompanied by an abstract in English, between 150 and 200 words in length. Two or three lines of biographical information in English should also be included. 4. Typescripts should conform to the journal style outlined below: a. All pages should be numbered consecutively;
5. References should be made as follows: a. Simple references to any books or articles,
without any accompanying comments, should be inserted at the appropriate
place in the text, in brackets and stating the author’s surname, the publication
date of the work and the relevant pages, i.e. (Smith and Danet, 1996: 4-73).
6. A select bibliography should appear before the list of endnotes. It should contain all the works referred to in the text, listed alphabetically by author’s surname (or name of sponsoring body where there is no identifiable author), single-spaced and with a hanging indent of 0.2": a. References to books should give the author’s surname, forename or initials, date of publication, the title of the book (in italics), the place of publication and the publisher, i.e. Boissevain, Jeremy (1965) Saints and Fireworks, London: Athlone Press. b. References to articles in periodicals should give the author’s surname, forename or initials, the date of publication, the title of the article in double inverted commas, title of periodical (in italics), the number of the volume and issue and the page numbers, i.e. O’ Barr, William, (1991), "Discourse and Power in an American Legal Office," Law and Society Review, Vol. 5, No, 3 pp.342-357. 7.
