The 5th Biennial Conference of the International Association of Forensic Linguists will take place at the University of Malta from Saturday 30th June 2001 to Monday 2nd July 2001 inclusive.

The IAFL Biennial Conference provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest research and practical presentations in the broad field of Linguistics and Law. Being the fifth biennial conference, that is, ten years on from the first biennial conference, scholars and researchers in the field are invited to submit papers, both individually or in collaboration, reflecting on the current status of forensic linguistics and the promises of the future. Any area of forensic linguistics will be considered for discussion.

Individual papers will be allotted 30 minutes: participants will however be asked to restrict their presentations to 20 minutes in order to allow 10 minutes for discussion.

Symposia and workshops will be allotted 2 hours and the organisers will be free to allocate the time, as they think best.
