The Maltese Islands still lack a dedicated Medical History Museum, but there are a number of collections with a medical history import scattered around the Islands. The University and Medical School has a number of items that reflect various aspects of medical history. Unfortunately because of present physical space limitations, it is difficult to collect and present these items in an ordered sequential form under one roof as a permanent exhibit. This webpage is therefore an attempt to create a virtual museum to show and catalogue the medical history items held by the Medical School and the University. One hopes that in the future the relevant authorities will allot space for the creation of a dedicated Medical History Museum.
