Oscar Zammit

Professor of Midwifery and Gynaecology

Born: Valletta, 07/12/1911; died: 06/05/1963. Education: University of  Liverpool for technical training for managing the Department of Fisheries; University of Malta; specialised in obstetrics and gyaecology. Qualifications: M.Sc. (Biology) [Liverpool, 1936]; M.D. [Malta]; F.R.C.O.G. [U.K.]. Career: Government Health Service - senior accoucher [1954-1963]. University of Malta - demonstrator in obstetrics and gynaecology, eventually appointed Professor of Midwifery and Gynaecology [1954-1963].
