The equipment can also be borrowed by schools and other institutions outside the University who are engaged in field studies but do not have the proper equipment.  A payment of Lm5, Lm3 and Lm2 is being charged according to the item which is being borrowed. 

The following regulations are applicable.
1. The equipment is borrowed for a maximum period of three days. 
2. A fine of Lm2 per day is imposed on each item of equipment which is borrowed and not returned by the due date. 
3. Equipment which is either lost or else is returned broken or damaged has to be fully paid.
