OBJECTIVES

To present principles of research methodology in health care services

To describe study designs

To explain techniques of data handling, analysis and interpretation

CONTENT

*           Research in health services:  quantitative and qualitative approach

*           Study design:  experimental and quasi-experimental studies, observational studies, blinded, case-control, cross-over studies

*           Techniques in qualitative research:  focus group, interviews

*           Research protocol, ethics approval

*           Basic biostatistics:  student t-test, Mann Whitney test, Cronbach’s alpha applied to pharmacy
