in the Middle East The aim of this study was to gather information regarding Regulatory affairs in the Middle East. Emphasis has been placed on legislation regarding registration and marketing of medicines and future trends with regards to harmonisation of marketing within the countries of the Middle East. The importance of Regulatory Affairs in undergraduate and postgraduate Pharmacy course curricula has also been looked into. General information such as statistics about import and export of medicinal products, wholesale dealers, manufacturers, national health services as well as government and private sector expenditure on medicines and medical services has been discussed. The study has being carried out under the supervision of Ms. Lilian Wismayer, Dr. Maurice Zarb Adami, Prof. Anthony Serracino Inglott and Ms. Claire Shoemake of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Malta.
